I've never been to Breckenridge but do suggest that you acclimatize yourself to some Rocky Mountain craft brew and I don't think I'd run 50 miles unless I was being chased by something...big...or this...

The Firecracker 50 is a mountain bike race, not a run, follow the link you fool.
Assuming your pads aren't ready for replacement, try these three things for your brake (Try the first, if it doesn't work, proceed to the second, and so on):
-Back the inner pad off 1 click
-Reset the caliper position
-Remove the pads and scuff very lightly and evenly with a very fine grit sandpaper
