Apology
Earlier I posted a handful of pics intended for a private family blog that we maintain. The content was inappropriate for this blog and has been removed.

Beerski
Assistance needed. Have to buy some beer for Happy Hour at the Crossfit Box tomorrow night. Would like to get some seasonal but have been in a Paleo Challenge for the past month (meaning no real beer) and have not yet had the chance to sample any. So short of sampling a poo-ton of beers in the next 24 hours and possibly dropping a barbell on my face in the process...Recommendations? Brewer, brand, batch or otherwise.

OK
Last day of IPA, Coffee Stout from here on out. Yes, I know I should have the stack below the grill, being lazy.

Robert Frost-ish
Lera rented a cabin for us as one of my birthday presents. Badass surprise. A mile hike into the woods to get there so we got to pack everything in. Primitive but cozy and had two wood burning stoves inside with a flowing spring nearby.

Please, watch this until the end. The end. This is the most amazing thing ever. What a back yard he has. Credit Nate Means.

Curse of the Dark Hollow-10 miler
Finally, got a podium finish. Rock gardens through most of the course and a I mile climb to finish it. No mechanicals, no falls, and was handed a beer as I rode in to the finish tent--doesn't get much better than that.

Crossfit Hanover (PA) comp
Lera conquered a fear or two and I was happy to RX everything last weekend at a crossfit competition. Nine from our box competed. Top three men and women did a final sled push-T2B WOD. Haven't seen individual results yet but we didn't make the final. Great event and cool to hit it hard at another level.

Keeping Up
Just caught up on reading/viewing the blog posts, good stuff, and thought I'd throw some of my own out.
Lera and I swooped in to Baltimore last weekend. Inner Harbor area is pretty touristy but the city seems to have a bit of a seedy edge to it (although this was sometimes manifested in contrived weekend hipsters in skinny black jeans with combat boots and fossil watches). Not that I should judge as I sport a tatoo representing the Beatnick Generation and work for the Federal Government.
